Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Sends Message To IPOB Loyalists.

The leader of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) reminded his followers to boycott the November 18th 2017 Anambra gubernatorial election.

Speaking through IPOB spokesman, Comrade Emma Powerful, Kanu called on genuine Biafrans to frustrate the electoral process through a peaceful boycott.

The statement reads:

“Every genuine Biafran desiring of freedom for Biafra from this Islamic bondage of Hausa Fulani caliphate called Nigeria must not only stay at home on that day, but must also make sure those around them do not vote. November 18, 2017 is a date with history.

“If we Biafrans succeed in demonstrating before international observers that we are serious about our freedom by locking down Anambra State on that day, the world will be in no doubt that Biafra is unstoppable.

Our destiny is firmly in our hands.“We must teach corrupt Igbo politicians that money cannot buy IPOB because we are special breed untainted by the corrupt tendencies of Nigerian politics.

Locking down Anambra State will pave the way for IPOB to announce a date for substantive referendum later next year with or without the approval of Nigeria.”

Nigeria Is Not Working, Let Us Go Our Separate Ways – Northern Elders Surprised Buhari, Call For Immediate Separation.

The Northern Elders Forum, NEF, has called for the immediate break-up of Nigeria, saying: “Let us go our separate ways, because the country called Nigeria is not working”.
The call was made by the Spokesman of the NEF, Professor Ango Abdullahi, who revealed that God did not create Nigeria, but Lord Lugard did, hence the need for the regions brought together by the colonial master to go their separate ways.Abdullahi in a telephone interview with The Nation Newspaper, said Nigerians should waste no further time in correcting the mistake of Lord Lugard.
According to him: “I have spoken extensively on this issue of restructuring, and I gave reasons why Nigeria has failed. The elites have insisted that Nigeria should work, which is why I am advocating that the mistake Lugard made in 1914 should be revisited.“Lugard made mistake by bringing us together, and I don’t take it that God made this country, it was Lugard who made it. And now that we have agreed that he has made a mistake, we should correct it. Correcting it here means that we should go to the structures he put together, and go our separate ways; or at best, I support the position taken by the South-West, that we should go to our former regions. That is my position.
“If we cannot work Nigeria for 100 years, we should do something else, and doing something else means that we either go our separate ways, or go back to a point where our Leaders agreed for once that Nigeria should gain independence, but the original federal system. I also agree with the South-West’s position that we should have our parliamentary system back.“We should stop wasting time by organising constitutional conferences.
Each time we organise the constitutional conference, they will say there is nothing wrong with the provisions of our Constitution, it is the people working it that are not implementing it properly. So, this shows that it is the Nigeria political class and the elites that have failed. So, why don’t we stop now and retrace our steps and go back to 1960?“.
If we go our separate ways, I believe the people in the West as they always argue, will do like our father, Chief Awolowo did, people in the East will do like Zik did, and people in the North will do the same that Sardauna left for us.“It is because the political class are selfish, that they don’t want to hear these views.
They don’t want to hear that Nigeria is divisible, which is nonsense.“You can’t say that Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable, it is not true, because the President said recently that Nigeria’s unity has been settled. It has not been settled. So, you cannot say Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable”, he said.

Three Die And Dozens Trapped As Mumbai Building Crashes Due To Heavy Floods.

Not less than three people died and dozens were feared trapped when a building collapsed in India's financial capital of Mumbai on Thursday, after days of heavy rain swamped the city.

Rescuers using diggers could be seen sifting through the remains of the four-storey residential building which gave way around 08:40 am (0310 GMT) in the densely populated area of Bhendi Bazaar.

It was the latest deadly housing collapse to strike the teeming metropolis - shining a spotlight on poor construction standards in the Asian country - and came after heavy rains and inundations in the city killed 10 people.

A spokesman for the Mumbai civic authority's disaster control team said three bodies had been pulled from the rubble.
"Three people are dead and thirteen injured have been rescued from the building collapse. Two firemen also have been injured during the rescue operations," Tanaji Kamble, told AFP.

An official in the control room of India's National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) said dozens more were thought to be trapped, he added.

"Forty people are believed to be stuck inside and a 43-member team is conducting rescue operations," the official told AFP.
He said eight or nine families were thought to have been living in the building.

Building collapses are common in Mumbai, especially during the monsoon season from late June to September, when heavy rains lash the western Indian city.

Severe downpours began on Tuesday and caused flooding across Mumbai and the neighbouring region of Thane.

The collapse came as officials said the death toll from the floods was expected to rise above 10, despite the waters receding after better weather.

"We are still on the lookout for more missing persons and the number may go up," Santosh Kadam, spokesman for disaster control in Thane, told AFP.

Bhendi Bazaar, a scruffy colonial-era market, is one of Mumbai's most historic districts.
It is currently undergoing a six-hundred-million-dollar redevelopment project that is set to replace hundreds of ramshackle, decades-old low-rise buildings with around a dozen glitzy new tower blocks.

Mumbai has been hit by several deadly building collapses in recent years, often caused by shoddy construction, poor quality materials or ageing buildings.

The city is particularly vulnerable to deadly collapse with millions forced to live in cramped, ramshackle properties because of rising real estate prices and a lack of housing for the poor.

Activists say housing societies, private owners and builders often cut corners to save on costs. They also claim that corruption plays a part with officials sometimes knowingly certifying dilapidated buildings in return for money.

In July, 17 people including a three-month-old baby, died when a four-storey building gave way in the northern suburb of Ghatkopar.
In 2013, 60 people were killed when a residential block came crashing down in one of Mumbai's worst housing disasters.

Anambra Woman Sleeping With Her Daughter's Husband Exposed.

A woman who was in the habit of sharing her own daughter's husband discreetly, has been exposed in Anambra State.

According to P. M. Express, a man who was simply identified as Kingsley and who is married to a 17-year old girl (named withheld), has been exposed after having s*x with the wife's mother.

The young bride only discovered two days after their marriage took place that her mother had deep intimate with relationship her husband.

P. M. Express reports that not minding the fact that she was already pregnant, the girl parked her property, left her matrimonial home and declared that she was no longer interested in the marriage.

The incident happened at Ogboji town in Orumba Local Government Area but the victim hails from Umuchu in Aguata Local Government Area, all in Anambra State.

P. M. Express gathered the widow simply known as Jane lost her husband and after mourning him for several years, she decided to find love again and met Kingsley.

However, it was gathered that their relationship was said to be strong to the extent that both families knew about it, even though Kingsley was younger.

It was learnt that the situation changed when Kingsley indicated his interest to marry and have his own family. They agreed that they will keep their relationship intact and Jane suggested that he should marry one of her daughters and he agreed.

According to the victim, “when my mother asked me to marry Kingsley I refused because I knew my mother knew him too well”

She narrated that they had targeted her fertility period and Kingsley arranged with her mom, she was taken to where she was offered drink and that was all she knew as she slept off.

She said when she woke up, she discovered that she was defiled and from that encounter got pregnant.
Her mother then told her that since she was pregnant, Kingsley had to marry her and she was forced to accept. She said their family members were contacted who initially objected but had to consent to her mother’s position without knowing she was already pregnant.

She said her dowry was paid and she went with him but hated both Kingsley and her mother who arranged the whole thing when she was supposed to finish her secondary school.

The victim said when she reflected on what happened, she realised that the whole thing was caused by her mother who she later got to know was sharing Kingsley with her and had to walk out of the marriage.

She told P. M. Express that once she delivers the baby, she will go back to school to take her WAEC and further her education.
When our reporter contacted the mother on phone, she admitted that she recommended Kingsley to marry her but denied she had any intimacy with him.

P. M. Express confirmed that Jane and Kingsley’s relationship was well known but could not confirm her daughter’s claim of sharing Kingsley with her.

Anthony Joshua Gets Set For A Rematch With Klitschko.

Anthony Joshua is eager to do it all again as he revealed the date of his next training camp, thus giving Wladimir Klitschko a tight deadline to agree to a rematch.

The initial bout on April 29 saw Joshua stun the former heavyweight king in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley in what was dubbed one of the most exciting heavyweight fights since the glory days of 1990s.

The Independent revealed last month that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn flew out to Las Vegas with his manager Freddie Cunningham to discuss staging the money-spinning rematch on the famous Sin City strip.

Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, which will host the circus of Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor later this month, is likely to be the destination should Klitschko accept the rematch, ahead of Cardiff’s Principality Stadium or a possible fight in Nigeria, the birthplace of Joshua’s mother.

If the 41-year-old Ukrainian does decide to retire instead of one final shot at regaining the WBA and IBF titles he lost to Tyson Fury two years ago, Joshua will be left to fight his mandatory challenger for the straps, Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev.

“I hope we can put a seal on it before the end of the month,” Joshua said. “If we fought November 11, starting August 22 is a three-month camp, so towards the end of the month, one way or the other (I’m expecting to know), because I’ve got to crack on.

“It was just fun, it was just entertaining. I’d do it again, definitely. And going to Vegas opens the door for the (WBC champion Deontay) Wilder fight.”

“(Klitschko’s) not going to top what he’s already done but for 10 years people said he was boring because he was so dominant, but he got a lot of respect in defeat, so that should give him a real motivation (for a rematch).

“He’s got another chance to do it. I’d do it if I was him.”

Klitschko sent Joshua to the canvas for the first time in his career in their original fight and, immediately following the defeat, suggested he has himself to blame for a second consecutive loss by not keeping the pressure on the 27-year-old.

Joshua called those claims about his drop in the sixth round as “nonsense”, though, and instead repeated the admission of Klitschko’s late trainer Manny Steward, that the heavyweight lacks “killer instinct”.

“There’s a lot more to it than ‘I let him off the hook; that’s the only reason he beat me, I took my foot off the gas’,” Joshua added. “That’s nonsense. He’s been champion for 10 years, he knows better than that, so that’s not a good enough excuse.

“You have to have a killer instinct. No matter what people tell you, sometimes you’ve got to do it your way. Maybe Wladimir came up short for those reasons.

“Maybe it’s protecting his reputation. I can believe he said to himself ‘Cool, I’ve got him hurt, I’m going to get him out in three rounds but I need to gain my energy back because I’m too tired’.

“(But) he was cautious: he knows that if he comes steaming in he’s going to get knocked out himself, he was jittery, he was tired as well. There’s a lot more to it. It’s not that he let me off the hook: I don’t think I gave him an opportunity to finish me.”

Two Dogs Die In Foiled Boko Haram Attack In Borno State.

Two dogs on Friday foiled an attempt by two suicide bombers to detonate bombs at the Moloi General Hospital in Maiduguri, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The foiled attack is the latest in a string of deadly attacks on soft targets by the Boko Haram group in Nigeria’s northeast, the hotbed of the Islamic insurgency.

The Chairman of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Mr Fatomi Ahmed, confirmed the development in an interview with a NAN correspondent after the attack.
Ahmed said that the agency had deployed a rescue team to evacuate debris at the scene of the foiled attack.

The Spokesman of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), Malam Bello Danbatta, who also confirmed the incident, said that the dogs and the bombers died instantly in the attack but that no other life was lost.

An eye-witness, Mr Rilwan Isah, told NAN that persistent barking by the two dogs prevented the suicide bombers from gaining entry into the hospital premises.

He explained that the insurgents, a male and female, were attacked by the dogs, forcing them to detonate the explosives strapped to their bodies.

Isah said that the dogs belonged to members of the CJTF and had been deployed to the area for rescue operations.

The eye-witness said further that the dogs attacked the suicide bombers when the animals sensed that the two persons were strangers.
Isah said that the explosion blew the suicide bombers to pieces and killed the dogs.

“We heard the male suicide bomber shouting in his dialect and the dogs barking and going after them.
“Only the suicide bombers and the dogs were killed in the attack,” he stressed.

Insurgents have been packing bloody punches in Maiduguri and other northeast cities in recent weeks, although the military authorities had said that the group had been degraded.

Thousands of lives have been lost in several communities in northern Nigeria since the insurgency started more than eight years ago.

My Fiancee Married Another Woman 2 Weeks To Our Wedding - Woman Laments.

Dear Readers,
My name is Funke, a 28-year-old lady. I am heart broken at the moment » and I swear I will do something stupid if care is not taken.

Imagine dating a man for four years and planning for your marriage for six months only for the man to get married to another woman two weeks to your supposed wedding.

This is what happened to me and now, I want to take the laws into my hands and deal with Dele and his new wife for putting me through such shame and disgrace.

I met Dele during my service year in Ogun State. I had just come out of a very bad relationship and was not ready to go into another one but after Dele kept assuring me that he would be there for me, I had to give him a chance.

In truth, he was very patient with me, doing all he could to get my mind off the pains I was going through when Alex dumped me for another woman.

Dele worked in Abuja and only came to see me once a month but the relationship soon became very strong and he introduced me to his family members and his friends who all seemed to accept me.

I also introduced him to my family as my fiance and my parents were very happy that I would soon settle down. After I finished my service and got a job in Lagos, Dele proposed to me and I could not have been happier.

But the only draw back was that he did not want me to move over to Abuja because he felt the cost of living in the Federal Capital was astronomical. He said when we got married, I would move to Abuja.

I visited him as much as I could manage and he often came to Lagos whenever he had the chance. All the time I visited him, I never noticed him with any woman and I never suspected he could be cheating on me.

Then in December of 2016, we fixed our wedding for May and we began planning for it in earnest. My parents were beside themselves with joy and mother made sure it would be the wedding of the century as she bought 'Aso Ebi' for all her friends and club members.

In April, our wedding invitation cards were out. My friends too did not spare any expense as they wanted the wedding to be one in town. I began noticing that Dele was becoming withdrawn and his visits reduced drastically.

He blamed this on the pressure of work and tight schedules but since we would soon get married, I did not mind his infrequent visits.

But after he had stayed away for two months and was always evasive when I called, I became worried. Two weeks to our wedding, Dele had not come and there were still things to do.

I decided to go to Abuja so that we could put finishing touches to the preparations. I did not tell him I was coming because I was very angry at him and had prepared to give him a piece of my mind.

I took the last flight from Lagos and got to Abuja at about 6:30 pm and took an airport taxi to his house. I knew he would be home by then. I was still boiling when I banged on his door but to my shock, the door was opened by a pregnant woman.

I thought I was in the wrong place and told the woman I was there to see Dele. The woman just looked at me with disdain and went back inside. Shortly after, Dele came out and was also surprised to see me.

Before I could say anything, he asked what I was doing there and why I did not call him to say I was coming. I asked him if it was a crime to visit my husband without calling him.

That was when the woman came out again and asked who was my husband. I was confused and looked at Dele for an explanation but he told me I should go to a hotel and spend the night and he would come the next day to explain everything to him.

I told him I wanted an explanation there but it was the woman who spoke out that they got married at a registry just a week earlier and showed the ring on her finger as well as the pregnancy.

It was when Dele began to tell me how sorry he was that I fainted only to wake up in a hospital later.

It is now two months since the incident and while my family and friends have been trying all they can to help me get over the heart break, I will not rest until I avenge myself.
Dele and his stupid wife will surely suffer for what they have done to me, I swear on my life.
