Youngster Could Be First Nigerian To Play For Manchester United.

When John Mikel Obi was unveiled by
Manchester United in a hastily arranged press conference in 2005, it was a long-awaited moment for football lovers in Nigeria.

The Premier League at that time had been hugely followed in Nigeria for a number of years with almost half of the league enthusiasts being fans of Manchester United.

Mikel Obi’s signing was to be a very significant one for Manchester United in Nigeria as the first Nigerian to ever play for the club.

Considering how most from the Arsenal fan base in Nigeria started supporting the Gunners because of Kanu Nwankwo, the signing of the next-big thing from Nigeria was supposed to make Manchester United more popular in Nigeria.

But that was not to be and what followed was the now infamous story of how Chelsea came in and snagged Mikel.

It’s been more than 10 years and no Nigerian player has still been close to playing for Manchester United.

In Tosin Kehinde however, Nigeria have a new ray of hope of having one of their own donning the famous shirt of the Red Devils.

Kehinde is currently in the youth team of Manchester United and while they have been other Nigerians in the Manchester United reserves. The 19-year-old has shown promise that has made Nigerians to start dreaming.

Born in Lagos and raised in England, Kehinde first started in London with
Tottenham before he was signed by Manchester United.

It’s still a long road for him before he can get the opportunity to play for Manchester United senior team but the midfielder has set his sights on it.

He made nine starts for the Reserves in 2016/17, with a further 12 substitute appearances, and scored once - in the 5-3 defeat to Derby County in February.

"For me, this season, it's just about really securing a place in the starting line-up as often as possible and trying to do my best to progress as a player,” Kehinde told Manchester United official website.

"It was a bit up and down," Kehinde said of last season. " I didn't start all the games but I was involved a lot. I was involved in the majority of the games so I was happy with that.

"We did finish on quite a good run of results last year and we're trying to take it into this season. I expect us to do better than last year, especially with the group of players who have come up now from the Under-18s. It gives us a more rounded squad that is better balanced as we were quite short last year.

"Everyone will push each other and raise each other's games during the season and I think it will pay off for us. I'm looking forward to it."

KING DAVID MEDIA have learnt that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) know about Kehinde and is closely monitoring his situation at Manchester United.

Two types of football fans in Nigeria are also closely monitoring Kehinde also- the football fans who are looking for the next big thing and the Manchester United supporters who are looking for a Nigerian identity with their beloved club.

In Major Reshuffle, Nigerian Army Redeploys 52 Generals, 597 Other Officers.

The Nigerian Army redeployed, canceled or amended postings of seven major generals, 45 brigadier generals and 597 other officers last week, in one of its most far-reaching shake-up exercise in recent years.

No reasons were readily cited for the new postings and cancellations and amendments of previous postings, but military sources told KING DAVID MEDIA over the weekend that the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, approved the exercise on July 18.

Amongst the seven major generals affected, the Army canceled the redeployment of Adeniyi Oyebade, two months after he was transferred from being General Officer Commanding of Nigerian Army 1 Division, Kaduna, to Army Headquarters in Abuja as chief of logistics.

But no new posting was assigned to Mr. Oyebade, who was indicted last year in the December 2015 massacre of Shiites in Zaria.

The shake-up was announced in a memo with reference number MS/G1/3OO/2O7 and signed by I.O. Rabiu, a major general and Military Secretary, military sources said.

About 100 Nigerian Army formations, units and departments within and outside the country were copied in the memo, KING DAVID MEDIA learnt.
Redeployment has become a frequent feature in the Nigerian Army since Mr. Buratai assumed office two years ago, but none of them was as sweeping as the recent exercise.

Three major shake-ups had been recorded within the last seven months, with the most recent affecting 147 officers in May.
A total of 227 officers were affected in a similar exercise last December.
A breakdown of the remaining 597 affected officers shows that they included 197 colonels, 50 lieutenant colonels, 99 majors, 138 captains, 111 lieutenants and two second lieutenants.

Thirty-eight out of the total 649 officers had their postings canceled or deleted.

That included two major generals, one brigadier general, seven colonels, five lieutenant colonels, 10 majors, eight captains and five lieutenants.

While eight of the officers had their postings deleted, the redeployment of 30 others were amended by the Army.

“It is the responsibility of all formation/unit commanders whose officers are affected by this posting to implement accordingly.

“Officers must take over on the effective dates indicated.

Formation/unit commanders will be held responsible for lapses in the implementation of the directives contained therein,” the memo stated.

The same day, the statement added, troops of the same formation, with the assistance of vigilantes, arrested a suspected Boko Haram terrorist at Bungai in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.

The suspect, Madu Kwari, 25, was nabbed at about 6 p.m. as he fled a Boko Haram hideout. He was in the company of three other terrorists, who are currently at large.
Similarly, the statement disclosed that troops of 159 Battalion of the Nigerian Army arrested one Hassan Yusuf, 43.

The suspect, described as a logistics supplier to Boko Haram, hails from Dangana in Chad Republic.

He was arrested while attempting to cross into Chad with smuggled spare parts and other items in a Toyota Hilux vehicle with registration number AE-646-VBY.
The statement explained that he is currently undergoing further interrogation.

Android O Developer Preview 4 Gets Released; Official Public Version Comes Next Month.

Google borrowed a leaf from Apple and started releasing developer previews of their major OS version long before they reach the public.

This method gives developers enough time to get acquainted with the new versions and to modify their apps to take advantage of the upcoming features.

Up to date, no official name has been given for the upcoming Android O/ 8.0. For those not familiar with Google’s naming scheme, know this; it’s all about alphabets and desserts. Every new android version gets the next letter of the alphabet, we just came from Android with alphabet letter (M) whose corresponding dessert name was Marshmallow, now we are at Android letter O, but the dessert part is unknown. Many are speculating Oreo, but Google might have other ideas.

This Preview 4 doesn’t bring any new features, just the final system behaviors, the latest bug fixes, optimizations, and the final developer APIs. This 4th Preview also marks the last developer build before the official release is done.

To get into the developer program, you will need to sign up here
Android Beta Program . In addition, you will need to have the supported phones which include Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel C, and Nexus Player.

We are looking forward to the official release next month, with it will be awesome features such as new notifications channels and layout as well as floating windows thanks to picture in picture feature just to name a few. Some apps like WhatsApp have already started making use of the picture in picture functionality.

CBN Injects Another $195m Into Forex.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Monday injected another 195 million dollars into the various segments of the inter-bank Foreign Exchange (Forex) Market ahead of Monetary Policy Committee’s (MPC) decision.

Mr Isaac Okorafor, the Bank’s Acting Director in charge of Corporate Communications, said this in a statement in Abuja. According to Okorafor, the bank offered 100 million dollars of the sum to the wholesale interventions while 50 million dollars was offered to the Small and Medium Enterprises(SME). He said the invisible segment, comprising Business/Personal Travel Allowances, tuition and medical fees, received 45 million dollars.

According to Okorafor, the apex bank has continued to intervene in the inter-bank sector, to ensure adequate liquidity in the market.

He said,“ the CBN Management is quite pleased with the performance of the naira against other major currencies around the world, particularly now that the forex rates at both the inter-bank and BDC segments neared convergence.

He expressed optimism that the Bank’s intervention had put a check on the activities of speculators.

He also underscored the determination of the CBN in sustaining stability in the forex market through monitoring of authorised dealers, to reduce sharp practices.

Meanwhile, the naira maintained its steady rate against major currencies around the globe, exchanging for N363 to the dollar in the BDC segment of the market on Monday.

10 Weird Signs You're Stressed Up.

Your body might be trying to tell you something.Stress manifests in a multitude of ways. Some of them are emotional symptoms, like moodiness and irritability, and others may mask themselves as physical issues.

The problem with this physiological phenomenon is that you may simply chalk these issues up as something harmless. Not only that, data shows stress is continually on the rise, making the problem more of a byproduct of everyday life rather than a health complication that needs to be controlled. But there are major consequences if you don’t address your stress: It can lead to heart problems, sleep disturbances, depressive symptoms and more.

Needless to say, it’s important to determine whether you’re experiencing issues with your emotional health. Can’t tell if you’re feeling high-strung or not? Here are some of the ways your body may be telling you that you’re stressed:

1. Your muscles are throbbing.
Strained neck? Tight shoulders? It may not be due to that new workout or a poor pillow. You carry a lot of tension in your muscles when you’re stressed out and that can appear as strains or injuries. For men, lower back pain can be a common side effect of stress and women typically experience issues in their upper backs, Reader’s Digest recently reported. Can someone say “massage time?”

2. You have a headache.
Speaking of tension, you can also collect it in your noggin. A stress headache, that dull, aching pain that feels like a band around your head, happens when you’re feeling high strung. Over-the-counter pain relievers, like ibuprofen, may help ease the pain or stress exercises like meditation or yoga may also provide some relief.

3. You’re thirsty.
When you’re feeling anxious, it can cause your adrenal glands ― small glands located at the top of your kidneys ― to pump out stress hormones into your body. That adrenal fatigue may lead to a fluctuation in other hormones, too, including a reduction in compounds that can affect your electrolyte and fluid levels. So if you’re feeling parched, your stress might be to blame.

4. You’re sweating.
If you’ve ever had to give a presentation through clammy hand or damp underarms, you know exactly what we’re talking about. Excessive perspiration due to stress, which known as hyperhidrosis, can affect anyone who is experiencing a little more anxiety than usual. Try some stress-controlling tricks like taking deep breaths or listening to soothing music to help bring those levels down in the immediate moment.

5. Your hair is falling out.
Shedding could be more than just a mild irritant. There are a few conditions that cause hair loss due to excessive stress: Telogen effluvium, which can cause hair to fall out over time just through simply brushing or washing it; Trichotillomania, which is a condition that leads to hair pulling; and Alopecia areata, where the body’s immune system begins attacking hair follicles. Talk to your doctor if you’re seeing more stand loss than usual.

6. You’re running to the bathroom a lot.
If you’re experiencing stomach issues like cramping or a frequent urge to go to the bathroom, you might want to consider getting that stress in check. Anxiety can cause digestion issues, as Everyday Health points out. Here’s how:
When stress activates the “flight or fight” response in your central nervous system, digestion can shut down because your central nervous system shuts down blood flow, affects the contractions of your digestive muscles, and decreases secretions needed for digestion.

7. You’re not feeling too hot.
Sniffles and stress go hand-in-hand. Research shows stress can make you more susceptible to issues like the common cold. Not only that, some chronic conditions like migraines can flair up following a stressful period. This phenomenon, known as “the let down effect,” occurs once your body finally relaxes.
When you’re stressed, your body releases cortisol (AKA the stress hormone). The hormone protects your body from pain in the moment (hello, adrenaline!) but as soon as it calms down, it returns your body to equilibrium, which could set the stage for pain, experts say.

8. You have tooth troubles.
Tooth clenching or grinding can happen without you being aware of it, even the middle of the night when you’re fast asleep. And the main culprit ― you guessed it ― is stress. Not only can grinding or clenching lead to jaw pain, it can also put you at risk for chipping or damaging those pearly whites. Dentists recommend relaxation techniques and wearing a mouth guard when you sleep if it gets severe.

9. You see a different number on the scale.
Minor weight changes aren’t a huge deal (after all, we can fluctuate back and forth in just one day). But if you’re experience a bigger rise or dip, something might be up. Changes in appetite is one of the more common signs of stress and could signal that it’s something to address.
To control the risk of weight changes, experts suggest partaking in a healthy diet, getting a good amount of sleep and exercising. Not only will they assist with weight, both moves are inherently good for curbing stress. Win-win.

10. Your memory is foggy.
Pay attention if you’ve misplaced your keys one too many times. Spotty recall has been linked to excessive amounts of stress, CNN reported. Chronic stress can reduce spatial memory, the part of the mind that helps you remember locations, objects and other more mundane items.

Nigeria's Power Generation Drops To 2,563MW

Nigeria’s power generation dropped below the 3,000 megawatts at the weekend as the number of idle power plants increased to eight on Sunday from five on Friday.

The nation’s power grid lost a total of 743.4MW over the weekend as generation dropped from 3,306.6MW on Friday to 2,632.4MW and 2,563.2MW on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

The total generation stood at 2,886.7MW as of 6am on Monday, with seven power plants, including Sapele II and Alaoji II not generating any megawatt.

Other idle plants on Monday were Afam IV & V, Gbarain II, AES, ASCO and Rivers IPP, according to the latest data from the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing.

Electricity generation from the nation’s biggest power station, Egbin, located in Lagos, dropped to 272MW as of 6am on Monday from 381MW and 312MW and on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

The power grid, which has suffered 13 total collapses this year, experienced a partial collapse last Wednesday, the third of such this year.

At Afam IV & V, units GT1 to 12 have been de-commissioned and scrapped; GT13 to 16 are out on blade failure; GT17 and 18 out due to burnt generator transformer; and GT19 and 20 are awaiting major overhaul.

Sapele II’s GT1 unit was said to be out on undisclosed fault; GT2 tripped on low gas pressure; GT3 out on bearing lift pump trouble; and GT4 tripped on loss of auxiliary.
Units GT1, 2 and 4 of Alaoji were said to be out due to gas constraints, while GT3 was shut down due to generator air inlet filter trouble.

Gbarain II’s GT2 was said to be out for frequency management, while AES has been out of production since September 27, 2014.
Unit GT1 of ASCO has been shut down due to leakage in the furnace, while the Rivers Independent Power Plants has been out of production since September 16, 2016.

6 Foods For Better Sex.

Eat these to (naturally) turn up the heat.

Want a really romantic dinner? Sure, candles and soft music are nice, but what you and your man nosh on could truly take things to another level. The following (healthy!) foods may actually affect hormone levels, brain chemistry, and energy, heightening arousal and s*x drive.

While there arent double-blind studies proving the aphrodisiac properties of these foods, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence suggesting they really help, so why not work in one (or more) on your next date night.

Asparagus.
Youre not alone if those fleshy green spears remind you of …well, you know. This veggies phallic appearance no doubt has something to do with its legendary aphrodisiac status, but the goods are inside, too. Asparagus is rich in vitamin B6 and folate, both of which can boost arousal and climax. And it also boasts vitamin E, which stimulates s*x hormones in both men and women.

Avocados.
Energy and a healthy libido are crucial for great s*x, and avocados can give you both. Theyre loaded with minerals, monounsaturated fats (the good kind that protect the heart and lower cholesterol), and vitamin B6—all of which help keep your energy and s*x drive up. Theyre also a top source of omega-3 fatty acids, which naturally boost your mood, making you more likely to feel ready for bedroom action. For more on avocados health benefits, check out“The Amazing Power of Avocados.”

Chile peppers.
Chile peppers can really spice things up—and not just in your mouth—thanks to capsaicin, a chemical thats been shown to induce the release of endorphins in the brain, which creates a feeling of euphoria. The potential payoff? Enhanced foreplay and hotter s*x.

Chocolate.
This sweet has long been linked with love and s*x for good reason. It contains tryptophan, which helps the body produce serotonin, a natural feel-good chemical that may play a role in s*xual arousal. Chocolate also offers a hit of phenylethylamine, a stimulant thought to contribute to that lovey-dovey feeling. So, go ahead, indulge a little!

Licorice.
This candy (sold conveniently in, um, whips) is thought to mimic the effects of estrogen and progesterone, critical hormones for normal reproductive and s*xual function and response. Eating it may help you get in the mood—and stay that way more often. Plus, enjoying this candy may reduce symptoms of PMS, a real perk both in and outside the bedroom. But note: Dont settle for just any old licorice-flavored candy. Be sure to buy a variety that contains real licorice-root extract.

Oysters.
Its not the slippery feel or the singular taste of oysters that make them a sexy superfood. Its zinc, which oysters are loaded with. The mineral helps the body produce testosterone, a hormone critical in regulating womens and mens libido and s*xual function. Research suggests that zinc can improve sperm count and swimming ability, and increase s*xual potency in men. (No wonder legend has it that Casanova sucked down several oysters a day!) For women, zinc may help ovaries—the source of estrogen, progesterone, and some testosterone—stay healthy, keeping you primed for bedroom action.

My Fiancee Married Another Woman 2 Weeks To Our Wedding - Woman Laments.

Dear Readers,
My name is Funke, a 28-year-old lady. I am heart broken at the moment » and I swear I will do something stupid if care is not taken.

Imagine dating a man for four years and planning for your marriage for six months only for the man to get married to another woman two weeks to your supposed wedding.

This is what happened to me and now, I want to take the laws into my hands and deal with Dele and his new wife for putting me through such shame and disgrace.

I met Dele during my service year in Ogun State. I had just come out of a very bad relationship and was not ready to go into another one but after Dele kept assuring me that he would be there for me, I had to give him a chance.

In truth, he was very patient with me, doing all he could to get my mind off the pains I was going through when Alex dumped me for another woman.

Dele worked in Abuja and only came to see me once a month but the relationship soon became very strong and he introduced me to his family members and his friends who all seemed to accept me.

I also introduced him to my family as my fiance and my parents were very happy that I would soon settle down. After I finished my service and got a job in Lagos, Dele proposed to me and I could not have been happier.

But the only draw back was that he did not want me to move over to Abuja because he felt the cost of living in the Federal Capital was astronomical. He said when we got married, I would move to Abuja.

I visited him as much as I could manage and he often came to Lagos whenever he had the chance. All the time I visited him, I never noticed him with any woman and I never suspected he could be cheating on me.

Then in December of 2016, we fixed our wedding for May and we began planning for it in earnest. My parents were beside themselves with joy and mother made sure it would be the wedding of the century as she bought 'Aso Ebi' for all her friends and club members.

In April, our wedding invitation cards were out. My friends too did not spare any expense as they wanted the wedding to be one in town. I began noticing that Dele was becoming withdrawn and his visits reduced drastically.

He blamed this on the pressure of work and tight schedules but since we would soon get married, I did not mind his infrequent visits.

But after he had stayed away for two months and was always evasive when I called, I became worried. Two weeks to our wedding, Dele had not come and there were still things to do.

I decided to go to Abuja so that we could put finishing touches to the preparations. I did not tell him I was coming because I was very angry at him and had prepared to give him a piece of my mind.

I took the last flight from Lagos and got to Abuja at about 6:30 pm and took an airport taxi to his house. I knew he would be home by then. I was still boiling when I banged on his door but to my shock, the door was opened by a pregnant woman.

I thought I was in the wrong place and told the woman I was there to see Dele. The woman just looked at me with disdain and went back inside. Shortly after, Dele came out and was also surprised to see me.

Before I could say anything, he asked what I was doing there and why I did not call him to say I was coming. I asked him if it was a crime to visit my husband without calling him.

That was when the woman came out again and asked who was my husband. I was confused and looked at Dele for an explanation but he told me I should go to a hotel and spend the night and he would come the next day to explain everything to him.

I told him I wanted an explanation there but it was the woman who spoke out that they got married at a registry just a week earlier and showed the ring on her finger as well as the pregnancy.

It was when Dele began to tell me how sorry he was that I fainted only to wake up in a hospital later.

It is now two months since the incident and while my family and friends have been trying all they can to help me get over the heart break, I will not rest until I avenge myself.
Dele and his stupid wife will surely suffer for what they have done to me, I swear on my life.

Funke."

What You Should Know About Kidney Infection.

A kidney infection (pyelonephritis) is a painful and unpleasant illness caused by bacteria travelling from your bladder into one or both of your kidneys.

It’s more serious than cystitis, a common infection of the bladder that makes urinating painful.
If treated promptly, a kidney infection doesn’t cause serious harm, but will make you feel very unwell. If a kidney infection isn’t treated, it can get worse and cause permanent kidney damage.

Symptoms of a kidney infection often come on within a few hours. You can feel feverish, shivery, sick and have a pain in your back or side.

When to see your GP
See your GP if you have a fever and persistent tummy, lower back or private part pain, or if you notice a change to your usual pattern of urination.
Most kidney infections need prompt treatment with antibiotics to stop the infection from damaging the kidneys or spreading to the bloodstream. You may also need painkillers.

If you’re especially vulnerable to the effects of an infection – for example, if you have a pre-existing health condition or are pregnant, you may be admitted to hospital and treated with antibiotics through an intravenous drip.

After taking antibiotics, you should feel completely better after about two weeks.
In rare cases, a kidney infection can cause further problems. These include blood poisoning (sepsis) and a build-up of pus in the kidney called an abscess.

What causes a kidney infection?
A kidney infection usually happens when bacteria – often a type called E. coli – gets into the urethra (the tube which carries urine out of the body) and travels up through the bladder and into the kidneys.
Who’s at risk?

Kidney infections are relatively rare. It’s estimated that one in every 830 people develops a kidney infection each year in the UK.
They can happen at any age, but are much more common in women. In fact, women are six times more likely to get a kidney infection than men. This is because a woman’s urethra is shorter, making it easier for bacteria to reach the kidneys.
Younger women are most at risk because they tend to be more sexually active, and having frequent

s*x increases the chances of getting a kidney infection.
Younger children are also vulnerable to developing kidney infections because they may be born with an abnormality of the urinary tract or have a condition called vesico-ureteric reflux, where there is a backflow of urine from the bladder up to the kidneys.

Can kidney infections be prevented?
You can reduce your chances of developing a kidney infection by keeping your bladder and urethra free from bacteria. This can include drinking plenty of fluids, keeping your private parts clean and treating any constipation.

Barcelona Officials Arrive In England For €100 Target.

Barcelona officials have arrived in England to push for a deal to sign Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

The Camp Nou giants have been linked with a swoop for the Brazilian international for a while now and a move to seal the deal has been made by the Barcelona Chiefs.

Liverpool considered one of their most priced asset non-transferable according to Sport, but Barcelona is set to test them with a €100m bid.

It’s added that negotiations are moving forward as the Catalan giants switch their focus from Marco Verratti to the Liverpool ace as their marquee signing this summer.

Coutinho is keen on the move but he doesn’t want to force a move out of Liverpool, he wants to do it in the right way with the Anfield giants which has prompted Barcelona to send delegates to England.

Liverpool and Barcelona have not even agreed on the transfer fee officially and they are yet to agree on personal terms with the player.

Wages are also an issue as it’s noted that there is no agreement on personal terms yet with Coutinho’s hefty demands, and so there certainly seems to be a long way to go before any deal is reached.

What is clear is that the former Inter playmaker is a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s side, and he’ll be desperate to see him stay at Liverpool, especially as they prepare for their return to the Champions League this season.

Coutinho had an impressive campaign last year, scoring 14 goals while providing nine assists in 36 appearances in all competitions as he was an influential creative hub for the Reds despite sustaining an injury last season.

I'm Staying At Real Madrid - Ronaldo.

Ending weeks of speculation about his future, Cristiano Ronaldo has told a Spanish newspaper he is staying put at Real Madrid to plunder more silverware.

“To win important trophies with my club and the personal honours last season was brilliant, to do it again would be nice,” Ronaldo told the sports daily Marca on Tuesday in an interview from Shanghai.

Ronaldo’s declaration of intent to remain at the Bernabeu for the upcoming season comes despite rumours of his departure which surfaced last month in Portuguese newspaper O Globo.

Those reports were founded on his apparent feeling of abandonment by his club over his run-in with the Spanish tax authorities.

Ronaldo, 32, has been summoned to appear before a judge near Madrid on July 31 to answer four counts of evading 14.7 million euros ($16.8 million) in taxes.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner has protested his innocence with O Globo saying he had threatened to leave Real over the investigation.
Since extending his contract last November until 2021, Ronaldo is the highest paid sports star in the world with $93 million (83m euro) in 2016-2017, according to Forbes magazine.

On Saturday Real manager Zinedine Zidane assured Real supporters that the superstar striker “was on holiday and would be back with us on (August) 5”.

Ronaldo has been given leave to miss the club’s pre-season US tour and Zidane, speaking in Los Angeles, insisted that he would be back at the club “on the fifth (of August) and I think he’ll stay for the next two or three years he’s got left with us.”

In Tuesday’s Marca interview Ronaldo also looked ahead to the 2018 World Cup with European champions Portugal.

“We still have to qualify but I’m hoping that Portugal can win an incredible title.”

Real Madrid Agree World Record Fee For Mbappe.

Real Madrid have agreed a world record fee of €180m with Monaco for the transfer of highly-rated striker Kylian Mbappe, reports emanating from Spain indicate.

According to Marca, the French champions will receive €160m up front with a further €20m in add-ons in a deal which dwarfs the fee Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba last year.

It is understood that the French striker is set to sign a six-year contract worth a reported €135k per week.

Mbappe scored 26 goals across all competitions last season – his first full season as a regular in the top flight of French football.

He has been chased by a lot of clubs aside Real Madrid but the European champions are looking good to snap up the striker.

Manchester United Complete Signing Of Another Star.

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of young goalkeeper Theo Richardson from Championship side Leeds United.

The 18-year-old impressed on trial at Red Devil towards the end of last season and has done enough to earn himself a permanent deal at the Old Trafford.

The youngster impressed on his debut in the mini Manchester derby at the Etihad in March, making a series of stunning saves to help the Red Devils secure a 2-2 draw, and is likely to be included in the Red Devils’ UEFA youth league squad.

He was one of four goalkeepers who traveled to Austria for a joint training camp with the U18s and U23s along with Kieran O'Hara, Max Johnstone, and Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui.

Manchester United have made a renewed effort in the last 18 months to bolster their Academy and recently signed the likes of PSG ace Aliou Badara Traore.

Richardson, who joins United having previously been with Leeds, will compete with the likes of Kieran O’Hara and Dean Henderson for a starting berth.

Jose Mourinho’s made two additions to his first team squad so far this summer with Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku joining for a combined £105m.

Justin Bieber's Cancelled Tour Is Going To Cost Him Large Amount Of Cash.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber has cancelled the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts.

Thank the high heavens above he didn’t decide that before he hit South Africa earlier this year – imagine the reaction of all those teens.

With only five days before Bieber’s U.S. stadium dates were set to kick off, the news was announced yesterday via a statement on his website that he would be chopping the remaining 14 dates:
Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored [sic] to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

This comes after Bieber announced last week that the opening of his acts for this leg would be Migos, Vic Mensa and Kehlani. Way better than Sketchy Bongo.
Any guess what the “unforeseen circumstances” could be?

Well, after touring for nearly two years, Bieber is burnt out, reports
Forbes :
TMZ caught up with him after the announcement and a seemingly chill Bieber said “everything’s fine. I’ve been on tour for two years,” and that he was looking forward to “just resting and getting some relaxation.” He assured his fans that he loved them and added, “I’m sorry for anyone who feels, like, disappointed or betrayed, it’s not in my heart or anything and have a blessed day.”
Sounds fair.

So whats’ the damage to his bottom line? Well, Forbes estimates that the cancellation will see him lose out on more than $70 million (R900 million).

That’s staggering, although when you consider that he averages more than $5 million (R64 million) per stadium date, and has been touring Purpose since March 2016, he should scrape by until his next album drops.
To those fans he cancelled on, though – is it too late to say sorry?

6 PDP Governors To Visit Buhari In London.

Six governors elected under People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are scheduled to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London, which is being arranged by the office of the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Munguno (retd.)

The governors visiting the president are Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), and Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo).

“Our colleagues are going to London to see the President. But I’m not happy that someone like the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, or his Rivers State counterpart, Mr. Nyesom Wike, is not on the delegation. Though there are PDP governors on the delegation, we know ourselves and also know those we know are truly part of the opposition and those close to the ruling All Progressives Congress. he governors had been directed to be at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, tomorrow (Tuesday). From there, they will fly to the United Kingdom,” a governor said in a report.

Meanwhile, according to another governor, the idea was mooted by some APC Governors.
“Yes, they mentioned it (visit); some APC governors mooted the idea but I don’t want to say anything on that for now,” he said.

The President accommodated some APC Governors and leaders last Sunday.

Reactions Trail Michael Phelps Loss To Great White Shark.

Michael Phelps, the greatest Olympian of modern times, has finally met his match in a swim-off against the greatest predator in the oceans, the great white shark. But many viewers of the Discovery Channel’s much-publicized race between man and beast found the result to be a little fishy. Touted as “Phelps vs. Shark: Great Gold vs. Great White,” the face-off in the chilly, shark-rich waters off South Africa was the launchpad for the channel’s annual Shark Week series of shows.

Phelps, who has won 28 Olympic medals including 23 golds, noted before the event that his safety was the number one priority going into the race, and said before the broadcast that he did not actually enter the water with the shark he was racing. Instead, the film crew shot footage of a shark speeding along the same stretch of water as Phelps, who swam the course at a different time under the supervision of marine experts and divers. The filmmakers used special effects to splice the two together, so it looked as though the American swimmer was racing alongside the huge predator. Despite being fitted with a special monofin to help propel him through the water, Phelps lost by two seconds to the shark, which put on a final spurt as it closed in on a seal. After his narrow defeat, Phelps demanded a rematch. “Next time… warmer water,” the 32-year-old champion wrote on Twitter. Many viewers of the show also took to social media to express their disappointment, having apparently believed Phelps would actually be racing a shark in real time. “Call me crazy but I thought they were gonna put Phelps up against a real shark not a simulation. I feel robbed,” said a Twitter user who goes by Meg Conley. Another scornful Twitter user posted footage of a cartoon shark dancing with the caption “Live footage of Shark getting ready to wipe the floor with Michael Phelps.”

Others, however, expressed surprise that anyone would have believed a real one-on-one between man and shark would have been possible.

Healthy Habits That Help You Live Quite Longer.

In the 21st century, the average life expectancy in the U.S. is just over 86 years for women, while men can subtract two years from that number for a life expectancy of 84.

But for the first time in more than a decade, the life expectancy in the U.S. dropped last year.
It’s too early to identify all of the causes behind the fall in the number of years we can expect to live involve or to predict if the trend will continue.
But it does illustrate the need to take your health into your own hands and do all that you can to live longer and healthier now.

So, here are a eight easy, proven ways to extend both the quantity and quality of your life:

1. Go nuts
You may have heard that eating nuts is healthy but did you know those tasty little treats can lengthen your years on the planet?

That’s right, according to one study, tracking the lifestyle of Seventh-Day Adventists, a group known for their longevity, people who ate nuts 5 days a week or more, lived on average 2.9 years longer than people who avoided nuts.

Why do nuts help you live longer — and healthier? Researchers believe nuts help prevent diseases like cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease because they tame the inflammation abomination.

Just 20 grams of nuts per day (roughly a handful) can:
◆Cut your risk of coronary heart disease by nearly 30 percent.
Cut your risk of cancer by 15 percent.
◆Cut your risk of dying from respiratory disease by 50 percent.
◆Cut your risk of dying from diabetes by 40 percent.
◆Cut your risk of premature death by 22 percent.

2. Turn off your television
In an eight-year study, researchers in Spain have found that you can increase your longevity with a simple wrist motion. Using only one hand.

The wrist motion: Turn off your television.
The research that looked at the lifestyle habits of more than 13,000 people during eight years found that watching TV for three hours or more daily doubled the risk of premature death during the study.

“Television viewing is a major sedentary behavior and there is an increasing trend toward all types of sedentary behaviors,” says researcher Miguel Martinez-Gonzalez at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. “Our findings are consistent with a range of previous studies where time spent watching television was linked to mortality.”

The risk of death was doubled for people who reported watching three or more hours of TV each day compared to folks who watched an hour or less.

3. Get social
Did you know that if you accept all your Facebook friend requests, you’ll probably live longer?

In fact, scientists who studied Facebook activity for more than a decade say that people who have strong social media networks and receive multiple friend requests are less likely to die.

According to the researchers, Facebook users who accept more friendships increase their life expectancy but the same doesn’t hold true for users who initiate more friend requests.

And, the risk of death was lowest for people who had high levels of offline social interaction, with moderate levels of online time…

Meaning, while spending time with your virtual friends can help, it’s very important to have real world friends to spend time with and talk to. An analysis of available research shows feeling lonely and socially isolated increases your risk of having a stroke and developing coronary artery disease.

4. Think positive
Having a positive outlook on aging could be one of the biggest determinants of your life expectancy.

In fact, according to a Yale University study, having a positive view of the aging process can extend your life longer than lowering your blood pressure and cholesterol, exercise, maintaining a healthy weight or even giving up smoking.

In the study, those with a positive outlook lived more than 7 years longer than people who had negative views of aging. Try these happiness-building techniques to boost yours!

5. Go outside
If you spend too much time around noise and pollution the way we typically do, your body — especially each individual cell — ages faster.

If you only spend time in the kind of urban landscape that’s so common in today’s world, your cells are likely to be a shocking 12 years older than the cells of a person dwelling in a more natural, relaxed setting.

A study at the University of Minnesota shows that green, plant-filled areas that also have lakes, rivers or oceans, can help you age more healthfully into middle-age and beyond.

For optimal health of your cells, here are a few recommendations from the researchers:
When dealing with your health as you age, don’t merely consider your physical body. Take a holistic approach that includes your social and mental well-being. Interact with friends and loved ones often.

Get outside every day, even if it’s just a walk down the block.
Make spending time in a natural setting a priority. Sit in a park.

Listen to water rushing in a stream or fountain. Get friendly with your neighborhood trees.

The message in all this research is that you shouldn’t let your house, or apartment, become a prison. Get out and live a little. Your cells will thank you, and you’ll stay younger for much longer.

6. Jog for seven minutes a day
There’s a group of people in the U.S. who enjoy a longer life expectancy than the rest of us. Spend less than 10 minutes a day doing what they do and you can increase your odds of living longer, too.

The folks who live longer are runners. And even if you only jog for about seven minutes a day (That’s right: only seven minutes!), you can add about three years to your life expectancy and significantly shrink your chances of dying from heart disease.

A study at Iowa State that examined the health habits of more than 55,000 people for close to 15 years found that during the study, runners were 45 percent less likely to succumb to strokes and heart disease than people who never put on running shoes.

According to researcher DC (Duk-chul) Lee, runners enjoy this benefit no matter how far they run every day and even if they never jog faster than 10 minute miles.

7. Go spicy
Do you like spicy food? If so, go for it! It turns out that those who like it hot live longer.

A study at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont found that people that regularly eat hot red chili peppers reduce their chance of dying by 13%.
But, if hot peppers aren’t your thing, try a supplement containing capsaicin, the active component in peppers to get the same benefits.

Plus, there are many ways different spices can promote good health. Check out this handy infographic for several!

8. Get or Stay Married
Did you know that marriage decreases your risk of dying? And, having never been married gives you one of the highest mortality risks.

In fact, studies show that married couples generally outlive their divorced, widowed or unmarried counterparts.

And, if you do get sick, being married increases both your chances and speed of recovery.
One more thing… if you need an excuse to spice things up, s*xual energy does positive things for your lifespan too!

Ways To Lose Belly Fat And Live An Healthy Life.

Maintaining a trim midsection does more than make you look great—it can help you live longer.
Larger waistlines are linked to a higher risk of heart disease and cancer. Losing weight, especially belly fat, also improves blood vessel functioning.
It’s impossible to target belly fat specifically when you diet.
But losing weight overall will help shrink your waistline; more importantly, it will help reduce the dangerous layer of visceral fat, a type of fat within the abdominal cavity that you can’t see but that heightens health risks, says Kerry Stewart, Ed.D., director of Clinical and Research Physiology at Johns Hopkins.

Here’s how to whittle down where it matters most.

•Try curbing carbs instead of fats.
When Johns Hopkins researchers compared the effects on the heart of losing weight through a low-carbohydrate diet versus a low-fat diet—each containing the same amount of calories—those on a low-carb diet lost an average of 10 pounds more than those on a low-fat diet—28.9 pounds versus 18.7 pounds.
An extra benefit of the low-carb diet is that it produced a higher quality of weight loss, Stewart says. With weight loss, fat is reduced, but there is also often a loss of lean tissue (muscle), which is not desirable.
On both diets, there was a loss of about 2 to 3 pounds of good lean tissue along with the fat, which means that the fat loss percentage was much higher on the low-carb diet.

•Think eating plan, not diet.
Ultimately, you need to pick a healthy eating plan you can stick to, Stewart says. The benefit of a low-carb approach is that it simply involves learning better food choices—no calorie-counting is necessary.
In general, a low-carb way of eating shifts your intake away from problem foods—those high in carbs and sugar and without much fiber, like bread, bagels and sodas—and toward high-fiber or high-protein choices, like vegetables, beans and healthy meats.

•Keep moving.
Physical activity helps burn abdominal fat. “One of the biggest benefits of exercise is that you get a lot of bang for your buck on body composition,” Stewart says.
Exercise seems to work off belly fat in particular because it reduces circulating levels of insulin—which would otherwise signal the body to hang on to fat—and causes the liver to use up fatty acids, especially those nearby visceral fat deposits, he says.
The amount of exercise you need for weight loss depends on your goals. For most people, this can mean 30 to 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise nearly every day.

•Lift weights.
Adding even moderate strength training to aerobic exercise helps builds lean muscle mass, which causes you to burn more calories each day.

•Become a label reader.
Compare and contrast brands. Some yogurts, for example, boast that they’re low in fat, but they’re higher in carbs and added sugars than others, Stewart says. Foods like gravy, mayonnaise, sauces and salad dressings often contain hidden fat and lots of calories.

•Move away from processed foods.
The ingredients in packaged goods and snack foods are often heavy on trans fats, added sugar and added salt or sodium—three things that make it difficult to lose weight.

•Focus on the way your clothes fit more than reading a scale.
As you add muscle mass and lose fat, the reading on your bathroom scale may not change much, but your pants will be looser. That’s a better mark of progress. Measured around, your waistline should be less than 35 inches if you’re a woman or less than 40 inches if you’re a man to reduce heart risks.

•Hang out with health-focused friends.
Research shows that you’re more apt to eat better and exercise more if your friends and family are doing the same.

Facebook Looks To Social Video To Connect Users.

Facebook is developing a standalone social video app aimed at younger users, according to The Verge.

Specific details on Facebook’s developing app, dubbed Bonfire, were unavailable. However, it appears to be similar to video chat app Houseparty, which lets groups of users video chat at once.

Facebook’s Bonfire joins other competitors in the burgeoning social video app landscape. Facebook faces competition from apps other than Houseparty — Tumblr recently launched its social video app called Cabana, which lets users video chat while streaming YouTube videos.

Similar social video chat apps Rabbit and Rave allow users to interact and watch video content through their mobile devices. Social video apps tend to be popular among younger users — 60% of Houseparty users were between 16 and 24 in December of last year, and
Tumblr’s Cabana was received well during its testing with 13- to 18-year-olds.
Here’s why it's important:

•It’s another example of Facebook launching a standalone app to challenge competitors. Facebook launched a youth-focused video app called Lifestage in 2016. It also launched ephemeral messaging apps Slingshot and Bolt in 2014, though neither were well-received, according to the Verge. Moreover, certain users of Lifestage voiced privacy concerns, specifically for children. Facebook is also developing a separate standalone app, called Talk — which aims to help users communicate with their grandparents via video chat, according to The Verge.

•It could keep more users within Facebook’s growing ecosystem. Bonfire adds to the wide array of standalone applications Facebook already offers, including WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. Bonfire can also help retain users within Facebook’s overall ecosystem, who may have otherwise gone to competing social video apps.
And it represents a potential channel for new ads. For example, the company could sell sponsored live AR face filters within group chats. In deciding on ad formats for Bonfire, Facebook will likely prioritize the user experience, as intrusive ads could discourage users from using the platform.

•Bonfire may stand a chance if it is able to create an environment where users feel connected. An environment that prioritizes users connecting with others, as opposed to focusing on popularity and receiving likes, is what Houseparty was able to develop, and is a reason that drove teens to the platform, according to Houseparty executive Sima Sistani. Houseparty was the third most popular social networking app in December 2016, which makes it unsurprising Facebook looks to develop a similar app.

How To Conserve Your Data With Or Without Recession.

So you are now tired of spending plenty money buying data subscription?
Or maybe you’ve been harbouring thoughts of robbing a bank in order to buy another monthly subscription…. the last one barely survived 3 weeks. My brother and sister, worry no more.

I’ve got 5 tricks and a story that will help you conserve your subscription, and finish it just before it expires. These are tried and tested tips; they do not require any technical skill or geeky skills. It’s for consumers like you and me.

I never actually felt the recession wind blowing towards me until recently when I somehow ran out of cash and couldn’t even afford any of Glo, MTN, Etisalat or Airtel’s cheap monthly subscription.
If you’ve been in this situation, you will quite agree with me that it’s frustrating and indeed a trying time – getting disconnected from the internet. I know some friends who can’t imagine living a day without internet connection, whereas I lost mine for a whole month. Thank goodness I’m still breathing fine.

I learned 2 important things during this period.
1: “getting disconnected from the internet doesn’t disconnect you from the world. You only get disconnected from the world when you stop connecting with people.” (This is a quote I came up with).

2: How to conserve a Data Subscription.
I’ve been a fan of Glo for the past one year – ruling my world alongside enjoying the battle in the telecoms industry, even though NCC wanted to add to our expenses by hiking the price of data.

According to my calculations, Glo is still leading when it comes to cheap data subscription in Nigeria. The previous data plan I subscribed to before my predicament was the Glo 3.2GB for N1,000 and I was able to conserve it for a month.

So, how do you conserve your data sub with or without recessions – the consumer way?

1. Don’t be addicted to streaming
This may sound like a harsh punishment, but it is worth it. Yes, I know we’re in the 21st century, and yes I know that streaming of content is a part of the internet that gives us some much pleasure; but the truth is that streaming consumes data. Downloading the video is ‘in-a-way’ cheaper than streaming. Please, don’t get carried away, if you’re on a light data subscription, you shouldn’t download everything you see on the web. Doing that, combined with the now-and-then-streaming, your subscription won’t even last a week.

2. Switch Off Data Connection when you’re not browsing
I have this friend who always keeps his Bluetooth, WiFi and Data connection on.
Guess what?
His monthly subscription barely crosses the second week.
Lucky for him, he is a rich kid.
If you believe you’re not a wasteful rich kid and you want to conserve your data subscription, learn to switch off your data connection when you’re not browsing. Your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth should not be left out either; you will be conserving your battery life by turning it off.

3. Update Apps With Wi-Fi Only
A good number of us might have heard this somewhere, but have not taken it into consideration. Now, let me clear the air on this.
Application update with Wi-Fi is preferable to updates over cellular connections.
Why?
Lemme answer that question with my own question.
The last time your apps were updated automatically without your permission, how many MBs (Megabytes) and GBs (Gigabytes) did you lose? Pretty much eh?
That’s why installing updates over WiFi is preferable.
If your apps are updated automatically without your consent, you’re not alone. There are some folks who still complain about it. Let me ‘show’ you how to stop this from repeating itself.
If you’re an Android user, quickly open the Google Play on your device and tap on the three horizontal lines parallel to each other.
Next, tap on the settings option and then select the “Auto-update apps” button. Hit “Auto-update apps over WiFi only”.

4. Be the Boss of the Sync Option
Who doesn’t love getting apps synchronized to push notifications? That’s what the Sync option does – push notifications. Before now, I’ve got mine toggled on. I believe you are not different. But, have you forgotten that if you’re syncing setting is toggled on, your phone will always keep checking server for fresh content? A lot of apps are set to keep sync by default, but funny enough some of us don’t even use it.
I’ll advise you keep an eye on your account synching options.
If you’re an Android user, here is how to keep an eye on the Sync option Go to ‘settings’ >> ‘Accounts’
If you don’t want to get updates of useless services, go to your Google accounts and tap on the ones you use most.
I’ve got all toggles turned on; this means I’ve got all my Google apps (Chrome, Docs, Gmail, Google +, Contacts, Drive, e.t.c. synchronised. I know very well that I don’t really use a good percentage of these apps, so I can go ahead and turn off the toggles for the apps I don’t use.
This is a brilliant consumer trick that will not only save my precious data, but will also save my hard earn CASH! Do same for as many other accounts and save more data.

5. Don’t Give Background Data a chance
You might have never taken this part of data conservation seriously, but there are some apps that live to feed on data, even when your device is not in use.
Android is the master in this feature – keeping everything updated and monitored with background data while you’re busying to other stuff.
The truth is that, whether it be on your PC or Smartphone, you don’t necessary need all you apps active all the time.

Closing the curtains
So, guys! These are just a few of my favourite tricks that will help you keep an eye on your data usage without tearing your device. I’ve got one or two other stuff on my blog that would interest you as ‘consumer of technology’. Care to check them out?
Are there any other tricks you want to share? Hit the comment section and let’s hear your opinion.

Magu Reveals Those Funding Biafra Agitations And Boko Haram

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has claimed that looters of Nigeria’s treasury over the years were those sponsoring the current agitation for restructuring and Biafra.

Magu stated this while speaking on Friday at a stakeholder’s meeting in Kano.
The anti-graft boss insisted that if the country must move forward, Nigerians must be determined to fight corruption at all levels.
“Corruption is a threat to the unity of this country and we must fight, despite the stumblingly blocks.

“Agitations of restructuring the nation, Biafra and even Boko Haram are being financed by looters of the country.

“The looters are ready to continue sponsoring all these violence against the state just to create confusion to distract attention against them. But that will not succeed.

“I can assure you that the President and the Vice President are committed to the fight against corruption and we have this political will in our leaders. We would not be deterred; we will continue fighting the war against corruption in this country.

“Again, those looting our wealth in this country are not more than 10,000 people and I don’t think there is any way the will of these people will prevail upon over the 150 million people of Nigeria,” Magu said.

Saraki Meets Osinbajo As presidency Uncovers Senate's Plot.

The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki on Thursday night held a secret meeting with the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Investigation revealed that the Senate President’s meeting with the Acting President was based on “some developments that occurred in the Senate during the week, including the suspension of consideration of further nominations by the Executive in protest against the retention of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, and the consequent threats of impeachment by some Senators.

A source said: “The Senate President met with the Acting President. He actually came alone and without the paraphernalia of his office to underscore his commitment to rapprochement between the Executive and the National Assembly.
“Saraki took time to explain a few things to the Acting President, but the talks bordered on the clarification of a few misgivings, especially the rumour that he was planning to become the Acting President or instigating the Senate against the Presidency.
“He also took time to explain why the Senate wanted its resolutions respected in line with the principle of separation of powers.
“Above all, the session was actually frank.”

Findings showed that Thursday’s meeting between Osinbajo and Saraki was preceded by a visit the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, paid the Acting President on Wednesday night.
Before his visit to Osinbajo, Odigie-Oyegun was said to have reached out to the Senate leadership, asking them to prevail on warring senators to tread softly so as not to plunge the nation into unnecessary crisis.

A government source said: “The APC National chairman came at a time the Acting President was about to have a meeting with a select group of government officials. He was asked to join the meeting, which bordered on the battle line drawn by the Senate.
“During the session, the APC National chairman said he had interacted with Saraki and advised the Senate leadership and Senators to ‘lie low’ and avoid anything capable that was capable of plunging the nation into crisis.
“Oyegun also said the APC could not understand why the party in power would be in opposition against itself.
“No one can say if Oyegun’s intervention was responsible for the visit of the Senate President to Osinbajo.”

There were indications yesterday that the Presidency had uncovered four planks on which the Senate is hinging its threats of impeachment.
One of them is the running battle between the Presidency and the Senate over continued stay of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, in office.

A reliable Presidency source said: “Intelligence report revealed that some senators have identified four issues to take the Presidency on.
“These issues are insistence on the removal of Magu; the renewal of the row between the chamber and the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service, Col. Hamid Ali(rtd); the alleged denigrating comments of the Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption(PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay and alleged constitutional breaches by the Acting President and the Presidency in general.

“Although the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, told the party leadership that the impeachment kite caught him unawares and he swiftly overruled the senators behind it, intelligence report indicated that “it was a kite flying agenda” by some senators.
“The government does not wholly believe the defence of the Senate leadership. It is closely monitoring events and putting safety valves in place, including legal dimension.

“Part of the intelligence report showed that some senators had plotted the impeachment script before the Tuesday session.

“Those who tabled the motion were actually not aware that the Acting President had returned to the country.”

It was learnt at press time yesterday that some past leaders (names withheld) had teamed up with the Acting President against the threats from the Senate.

“These leaders have told the Acting President to remain focused and ignore elements trying to cause political upheaval in the country.
“In fact, they assured Osinbajo of their support. These are leaders who the government thought had identified with the Senate.”
The tone for the impeachment process was set by two issues raised on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday.

The Senate had on Tuesday taken exception to the retention of the Acting Chairman of EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, and the Executive’s alleged non-compliance with the resolutions of the Senate.
The President of the Senate had said: “This is an issue that we have to once and for all address. We cannot pass laws and see that the laws are not being obeyed. This resolution must be obeyed by the Acting President, otherwise we will take appropriate actions and resolutions.”

On the same day, Senators Eyinanya Abaribe and Kabiru Marafa had under Point of Order asked the Senate President to become Acting President in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Acting President, who was away for AU meeting in Addis Ababa.

Marafa said: “If the President is not around, the Vice President should act, and if the Vice President is not around, the Senate President, who is the number 3 citizen should become Acting President.”

Africa Finally Gets Unique Internet Domain 25 Years After World Wide Web Launched.

More than three decades after the first domain name was registered, and over 25 years after the World Wide Web launched, Africa finally has its own internet domain fully owned by Africa named ‘ DotAfrica’ , APA reports on Wednesday.

This milestone was announced in
Addis Ababa , Ethiopia, at the 29th ordinary session of the African Union Assembly. The objective of the launch was to mark the commencement of the DotAfrica operational phase by setting up a road show starting at the AU headquarters.

"DotAfrica will bring the continent together as an internet community under one umbrella and create an opportunity to forge a unique online identity which will associate products, services and or information with the continent and the people of Africa,” read a communiqué.

The idea of DotAfrica was conceived in 2000 when some African internet professionals argued that DotAfrica should be operated by Africans for the benefit of the entire continent.
Reports say Africa has recorded robust growth with international tourist arrivals and tourism revenues growing at 6 percent and 9 percent respectively each year between 1995 and 2014, over the last two decades.
In its Economic Development in Africa report 2017, the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) said tourism in Africa is a flourishing industry that supports more than 21 million jobs.

The report said tourism attracted capital investment of $26 billion on average in 2011-2014 to the African economy, and that this amount represented 1.8 percent of total GDP of the continent.
It added that international tourist arrivals in Africa increased to 56 million in the period 2011-2014, from 24 million in the previous one (1995-1998) and that the figure is forecast to grow to 134 million by 2030.

Tourism export revenues have more than tripled, increasing from $14 billion to approximately $47 billion, between 1995 and 2014. It is now estimated to contribute about 8.5 percent to the continent’s gross domestic product (GDP).

18-Year-Old Joy Is Gradually Taking Over Sprinting In Nigeria.

The next African Junior Athletics Championships will take place in Algeria come June 29. When you consider that
Joy Udo-Gabriel will be representing Nigeria in the 100 metres and 200 metres categories at the event, then it’s safe to say we’re in good hands –because the 18-year-old athlete has constantly proven she has what it takes to fly the Nigerian flag.

Udo-Gabriel qualified for the event last Saturday at a track and field event organized by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) in partnership with Dynamic Sporting Solutions in Abuja. The young athlete who was born on June 2, 1999, gave herself the best birthday gift any athlete would ever ask for: she improved on her 100 metres and 200 metres personal bests, and, at the same time, she qualified for the African Junior Athletics Championships.

Pulling off impressive performances in track and field is not new to Udo-Gabriel. In fact, she came to limelight in 2016 when she won double titles at the Top Sprinter competition in Lagos. Before then, she had won several medals at both state and national levels as a secondary school athlete.

In 2015, she officially became the fastest school girl in Lagos State after finishing a race in 12 minutes and 91 seconds at the Lagos State Secondary School Festival.

Before now, Udo-Gabriel went to competitions with little training because she was facing the same problem that stops talented athletes on their way to success, which is the lack of sponsorship. But all that changed when she was given a student-athlete scholarship by sports media and management company, Making of Champions Limited. The company is currently grooming her to become a world-class female athlete like Jamaican, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Nigeria To Export Processed Yam Products - Audu Ogbeh.

The Federal Government of Nigeria is planning to export processed yam products to Britain, the U.S. and the European Union, EU.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh, who disclosed this to News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos, said that the exportation of fresh yam tubers had already started.

“The target markets are millions of Africans, especially Nigerians in the Diaspora, who want to buy and eat fresh yam.

“For those who will prefer yam flour and pounded yam, the ministry has identified five companies to process yam tubers into those products.

“We will get the UK certified standards for the exportation of those yam value chains.

“We will also put in our own checks and balances to ensure that every export meets the set standard.

“This is to ensure that the processed products are not rejected, once we start to export,” he said.

Mr. Ogbeh said that Nigeria was under great pressure to export roasted cashew nuts to Japan and all categories of beans and sesame seeds, among others, to India.
He identified lack of organisation and planning as the bane of the nation’s agricultural exports potential.

The minister, however, said that the ministry was working with relevant agencies to facilitate exportation activities in the agricultural sector.
According to him, the ministry is putting modalities in place to ensure that all agricultural products for export meet the highest global standards.

Mr. Ogbeh said that the ministry had been sensitising the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to the salient processes involved in the export of agricultural produce and its processed products.

According to him, every Nigerian should support the Federal Government in its efforts to create jobs, wealth and make everybody happy.

He assured the citizens that the nascent yam exports would not in any way affect local consumptions, noting that most of the yams produced in the country often rot away before the harvest of new ones.

Mr. Ogbeh, nonetheless, underscored the need for the youth to engage in farming in order to boost the country’s agricultural production and enable it to meet the emerging demands in the new frontier of crop exportation.

He assured the youth that the government would provide the enabling environment that would facilitate their agricultural production.

7 Features Women Secretly Find Attractive In Men.

Different females, of course, find different things attractive but there are a few things besides the regulars such as height, lips, and muscles that they secretly admire in a man.

Some of which guys themselves don’t even think anyone pays attention to. These things might seem freaky to some and extremely weird to others but it turns most females on nonetheless.

  Veiny Arms
This shouldn’t come as a surprise because veiny forearms represent muscles and hard work. Women subconsciously search for a man who can protect and yes in this day and age where women are becoming more independent, there’s still a part of them that find strong men extremely attractive.

  Unkempt Facial hair
The “I’m too tired to care” attitude that the unkempt beard portrays entices so many women. Be it a stubble or a full grown beard. Women find any form of facial hair extremely attractive.

  The Happy Trail
This is the trail of hair that starts at just below the navel and goes all the way down…we know where it leads and we’re happy to follow.

  Scars
Now almost every woman I know finds any type of scar unbelievably arousing. Scars are rugged, masculine, exciting and very hot.

  Sweat
I’m talking about fresh sweat. Straight out of the gym sweat or sweat from doing any form of manual labour. Immediate sweat not the kind that’s been on you for a couple of hours or more. Sweat contains pheromones (scented sex hormones) that attract women and make them want to make you sweat more but for them this time.

  Scent
Women also love men’s natural scent or any cologne that is particular to their man. That’s why we’re always taking their hoodies and shirts. If a guy goes to visit his girl and after he leaves her sheets smell like him she will literally sit there and smell it for as long as she can. Weird but true.

Butts
Everyone knows that guys love checking out women’s butts what people don’t know is that it works both ways. Ladies also love to see how good the pants fit guys. I mean what else are we meant to look at when they walk away?
